  • Tallow is purified + rendered down animal fat that originally protected the kidneys—also known as the “leaf fat”. Wild Melts only sources tallow from colorado grass fed grass finished pasture raised farms of beef and bison.

    Humans and animals typically store toxins in their fat.

    Consuming tallow or meat that are coming from food-lot conventional farms or farms that are spraying glyphosates or other pesticides is not good for your health or the health of the animal / planet.

    BUT when we choose to work with and purchase from farms that are organic, regenerative, only feeding their animals natural grass without any chemicals as well as allowing their livestock to roam without confinement—we are not only supporting our own health, but we are contributing to a cause that supports the animals and the planet

    2 main rules that must be followed:

    1. Water can never enter your jar of wild melts

    2. Always clean your hands prior to letting your fingers touch the tallow

    Also, wild melts does best in temps that aren’t too warm and aren’t too cold

  • Remember, Tallow is food.

    Your wild melts shelf life is anywhere between 6-9 months as room temp

    In general, Tallow has a few different lifespans.

    Room temp: 6-9 months

    Fridge: 12-24 months

    Freezer: forever
